Ajita Athalye has been employed as a part-time Accountant for the Water Banking Authority since July 2010 and is responsible for preparing various financial reports.  Ms. Athalye has over 23 years of state service with more varied accounting responsibilities. She began her accounting career in 1980 with Accounts Payable in the State of West Virginia, Motor Vehicles Department.  She has since enjoyed working as an Accountant for the AZ Department of Water Resources for over 12 years. While at ADWR she was reponsible for preparing financial, budget, and Federal Grant reports, including financial reports for the Water Bank. She also prepared Indirect Cost proposals for the Agency.  Prior to working at ADWR, Ms. Athalye was a Financial Consultant for the Department of Health Services, a Grants Accountant for the Department of Environmental Quality and a Cost Accountant for the Tanner Company. 

Ms. Athalye attended West Virginia State College as an Accounting Major and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1986. She moved to Arizona in 1989.

Ms. Athalye enjoys working with people.  In her free time, she likes to walk or hike with friends and family, read books or just play with her grandson.
