Authority Members

As Director of ADWR, Ms. Fabritz-Whitney serves as the Chairman of the Arizona Water Banking Authority.  Ms. Fabritz-Whitney has been with ADWR for 19 years, beginning her employment as an intern in 1992.

Prior to her appointment as Director, Ms. Fabritz-Whitney served as the Assistant Director for Water Management at ADWR for six years.  Her primary areas of responsibility included oversight of the statewide well program and the assured and adequate and recharge and recovery programs, and management of the long-range planning and data analysis sections and water conservation programs in the five Active Management Areas (AMA).  Ms. Fabritz-Whitney also held a variety of positions within the Phoenix AMA and served as Technical Administrator for the AWBA.  Ms. Fabritz-Whitney has assisted in a number of large-scale ADWR planning efforts.  Most recently, she served on the Blue Ribbon Panel on Water Sustainability and was a primary contributor to the development of the Arizona Drought Preparedness Plan.

Ms. Fabritz-Whitney holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Resources in Agriculture from Arizona State University.
